Summer at Salesian

Have fun this summer with a variety of summer sport and academic camps for 4th - 8th graders! Located in the East Bay on the border of San Pablo and Richmond, CA, on a secluded and gated 21 acre campus, we create a caring and supportive environment for your student.

 

Sports Camps

Salesian Red & Black and Nike Co-Ed Basketball Camps led by Salesian Head Varsity Coaches Bill Mellis and Steve Pezzola

Take your shooting, dribbling, and ball-handling skills to the next level this Summer at Salesian College Preparatory! The ELITE High-Intensity Camp is for players entering 6th-8th grade with 1-2 years of school and/or travel team experience. The Complete Skills Camp helps players entering grades 4th-8th of all abilities develop athletically, refining fundamental basketball skills and enhancing their skill set.

Salesian Red & Black Baseball Camp led by Salesian Baseball Coaches

Salesian’s Red & Black Baseball Camp is structured to help young players improve their baseball skills in a fun-filled environment. Whether campers are just beginning to play or are accomplished travel ball player, every camper will learn what they can improve upon to reach their full athletic potential. Campers will participate in drills and competitions within their division to ensure the best possible competitive balance for a fun and developmental experience while at camp. Campers should be ready for intrasquad scrimmages throughout the week. Participants should bring a bag snack, a refillable water bottle, and sunscreen. We also recommend that players bring any baseball equipment they may have, such as a bat, glove, cleats, helmet, and baseball cap. Some equipment may be available to borrow. All parking will be on Moran Avenue.

Salesian Softball Skills Clinics led by Salesian Softball Coaches

The Salesian Softball clinics are specifically tailored for competitive and beginner softball players interested in improving their fundamental softball skills. We will work on refining the basics of hitting and fielding and enhancing the mental side of the game. Athletes participating will be separated by age and skill level to ensure safe play and quality applicable instruction. The clinic is led by Salesian College Preparatory Head Varsity Softball Coach and former Division 1 softball player, Meghan Bradbury.

Clinic Dates | June 15 - June 17 | 9 AM - 12:30 PM | Grades 4th-8th | $75 per day or $200 for all 3 days

Academic Camps

Salesian BioMed Camp led by Project Lead the Way (PLTW) Instructor Cassandra Re

The BioMed camp is an immersive program where participants explore the fundamentals of biomedical sciences through hands-on experiments and lab work. Students will learn about medical technologies, human anatomy, and disease research while developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills. The camp provides a glimpse into careers in healthcare and science, preparing students for future studies in the field. Participants should bring a refillable water bottle and a snack.

Salesian E.L.I.T.E. Leadership Camp led by Salesian Faculty and Student Leaders

The E.L.I.T.E. Leadership Camp will teach essential skills in leadership, marketing and promotion, and servant leadership. The skills taught will include public speaking, meeting management, goal setting, fundraising campaigns, event and service planning, liturgy planning, and more! Materials are provided, and a certificate of completion, a camp t-shirt, a water bottle, and snacks are also included. Participants should bring a bag lunch.
