The Class of 2026 gave us plenty to celebrate this past summer. As a full class, our graduates came together for three special milestones: their Baccalaureate Mass, Senior Farewell, and Commencement Ceremony. At Senior Farewell, many Salesian alumni returned home to join our community in celebrating the Class of 2026, continuing the beautiful tradition of generations of Salesians coming together to support one another. At Commencement, Mariah Moore '14, now an Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach at Northwestern University, returned home to deliver a powerful keynote address. Speaking to an incredibly athletic group of scholars, Mariah shared wisdom about life beyond high school, the role of sports in shaping who we become, and the importance of trusting in our faith along the way. In recent weeks, many members of the Class of 2026 have even returned to campus to visit, reconnect, and say “see you later” before beginning their journeys at new campuses across the country.
And what a journey it will be! The Class of 2026 was accepted to more than 100 colleges and universities across the country, including some of the most prestigious in the nation, a wide range of UC and CSU campuses, HBCUs, and incredible private institutions. A few schools our graduates will attend include the University of California, Berkeley, Stanford University, Rice University, Howard University, and New York University. From California to New York, from the South to the Pacific Northwest, our graduates have earned the opportunity to pursue their dreams in just about every corner of the country. We are incredibly proud of this class and the doors they have opened for themselves. They have worked hard, represented Salesian well, and now get to take everything they have learned here into the next chapter. We can't wait to see what they do with that next chapter.
