From June 7th - June 14th, 2024, Freshman and Sophomore Salesian students were selected to attend the Salesian Youth Leadership Conference (SYLC). SYLC is a conference in Aptos, California where students from various schools are able to learn about Salesianity, qualities of being a leader in their communities and schools, and developing a stronger connection with God. Over the years, especially SYLC of 2024, SYLC has been an experience that has influenced students at Salesian College Preparatory. Students are encouraged to have a positive impact on the school through various ways: environmental sustainability, community comfortability, and student leadership. As the Salesian Youth Leadership Conference continues on throughout the upcoming years, students at Salesian College Preparatory will be able to become the leaders of tomorrow through the power of St. John Bosco.
“SYLC is a place where you learn about Salesian, St. John Bosco, and most importantly becoming a leader. However, the biggest impact SYLC has is the impact that comes through the students that attend. Their potential is undefinable.” -Jayden White '26
