Partnership with St. Anthony’s Continues to Inspire
Salesian e-Newsletter

Year after year, Salesian partners with St. Anthony’s Foundation, a nonprofit organization in the Tenderloin District of San Francisco that provides meals, clothing, healthcare, and services to those in need. Here at Salesian, we recognize that the faith we profess must be lived through our actions - this includes service to others. Our Sophomore Religious Studies classes visit St. Anthony’s throughout the year during their class retreats. Their visits begin with the program leadership team, where they learn more about the foundation and its mission. The students then participate in shifts, assisting volunteers in the dining hall, prep room, and clothing room. The day ends with Mass together at St. Boniface Catholic Church, sharing space with those from the Tenderloin community. Students left humbled and amazed by the good work that they accomplished, as well as the wonderful people that they met. Below, Sophomore, Elias O. speaks on his experience at St. Anthony's Foundation.

The commitment to service did not stop at the end of these school-day visits. Throughout March, a Toiletries Drive was held to collect shampoo, deodorants, and other hygiene supplies for St. Anthony’s. Thank you to all who donated and participated in this act of service.
