a group of students dancing on campus for champ day

Our Salesian scholar athletes are still on cloud nine following their Championship win last month (and back in the Fall). Of course we had to celebrate as a community. An extended lunch celebration was held on March 29th in honor of the second State Title win for the Varsity Football Team as well as the historic title win for the Girls Basketball team. Last fall, the boys beat the Arlington-Riverside Lions 42-21 and became back to back state champions. The Lady Pride defeated Windward, 62-51 to win the team's first ever state title. Students gathered outside near McDermott Plaza to celebrate. Alum James Robinson '08 got the party started with music; a 360 Photo Booth was provided by the 360 Martin Photobooth; and students played field games nearby and danced their hearts out. The entire student body ate like champions thanks to the Advancement Department. It was a wonderful day to remember and applaud an amazing group of Salesian Champions.
