Dear Salesian community members:
On behalf of all of us at Salesian College Preparatory, I would like to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving. I am hopeful that during this holiday you are able to spend time with family and friends, enjoy your Thanksgiving traditions, reflect on the people and things for which you are grateful, and pray for those less fortunate, along with world peace.
I am grateful to our faculty and staff and the great care they provide to our students and community. As St. John Bosco said, “Education is a matter of the heart,” and our faculty and staff embody that statement every day. It is an honor to be on this journey with the young people entrusted to our care during the most formative years of their lives. I am also grateful to be part of the Salesian Family.
At this time of year, let’s keep in mind and pray for our students who are moving quickly towards the final academic push of this semester with many upcoming projects, papers, and exams. I encourage each of us, as we focus on the end of the semester and all of the additional responsibilities that come with the holiday season, to place a high priority on supporting the social and emotional well-being of our students as well as our own self-care.
I thank God for the many blessings He has given to our school and our community. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your loved ones!
In gratitude,
Stephen Pezzola ‘74
