Salesian

Summer at Salesian is underway. After a successful soccer camp led by Coach Raul Garcia '16, Salesian's 3rd Annual E.L.I.T.E. Youth Leadership Camp welcomed sixty three 7th and 8th grade student government members from nine different Diocese of Oakland schools.  E.L.I.T.E., (Education Leaders Inspiring the Everyday) is an amazing opportunity for middle school students to learn effective skills to lead their school community. Led by the youth for the youth, invited participants learn first-hand from Salesian student leaders the skills used to organize student activities, promote school spirit, facilitate a productive student council meeting and develop different planning and organizational skills for their upcoming school year. We look forward to hearing how students applied their acquired E.L.I.T.E skills toward Catholic Schools Week and Olympic Days, which were included in camp discussions. Additionally and most importantly, E.L.I.T.E. is an opportunity for students to have fun and make new friends!
