Congratulations to the 2022-2023 Salesian Varsity Boys' Soccer team that made history this season by winning the school's first ever North Coast Section (NCS) game!  The team finished with an overall record of 15-9-3, and placed second in league at 9-2-1.  In the TCAL Championship game played against Pinole Valley High School on February 4, the Pride lost a hard fought contest in double overtime to the Spartans by the score of 2-1.  With a strong overall record, the Pride earned a spot into the NCS playoffs as the 14th seed, and in first round action, the team upset the 3rd seeded Knights of Roseland University Prep by the score of 1-0.  Salesian faced the Lick-Wilmerding Tigers of San Francisco in the quarter finals where the Pride lost a close match by the score of 2-1 bringing their outstanding season to a close.

This season also saw the Pride's JV boys' soccer team show flashes of brilliance.  In recap, with over 40 players, the boys' soccer programs look to improve upon this season's great run with more strong play in the future.  Congratulations to Head Varsity Coach Joseph Bacchus, and Assistant Coach Raul Garcia '16,  supported by Vidal Orozco Dominguez, and Sennai Abbay '05, as well as Head JV Coach Chris MacLean '11  for their hard work and dedication to the teams.  Go Pride!
