Salesian Pride Athletics kicked off the winter season with impressive performances across the board. Boys Soccer opened the week on fire, stacking back-to-back wins with a 5–1 victory over Berean Christian at home, and a commanding 6–1 result on the road at St. Helena. The squad battled in a tight matchup against Oakland Tech, falling 1–0, but continues to look strong heading into this week’s home matchups against San Domenico on Tuesday and Cardinal Newman on Saturday. The team is shaping up for a standout season.

Girls Soccer hit the road this week, taking on a tough Healdsburg team in a 5–0 loss. Despite the score, the Pride showed resilience and are focused on regrouping ahead of their upcoming matchups at Oakland High on Friday and at home against Kennedy next Tuesday. With strong leadership and a developing core, the team is poised to bounce back quickly as early-season momentum builds.

On the court, Boys Basketball delivered two dominant wins, opening with a 77–54 victory over Oakland Tech and following it up with an 83–27 statement game at home against Ygnacio Valley. The team now turns its attention to the highly competitive Gridley Invitational this weekend, where they’ll test their depth and speed against top regional opponents. Their early-season form signals exciting things ahead for one of Salesian’s Nike Elite teams.

Girls Basketball also showcased a powerful start, securing a 63-44 win over San Marin and a 52-38 win over Justin-Siena. With strong offense and defense, the Pride carry great momentum into a busy week featuring a home matchup against Redwood on Tuesday and a game at Marin Catholic on Thursday. The team’s early chemistry and energy point to a promising season ahead.
