Our favorite introductions happen face-to-face on campus where we can show off our students, teachers, newly renovated STEM classrooms, athletic fields, and active learning classrooms. For families with students in grades 8, we have designed a new "socially distant" private family event. Tours will be appropriately socially distanced and led by an admissions representative. Masks are required.

The Salesian Shadow Program offers 8th grade students an opportunity to shadow our current high school students to learn more and experience a day in the life of a Salesian student. If your school is not already visiting Salesian College Prep for an 8th Grade School visit, your student can schedule a Shadow Visit. Students will tour our campus, visit multiple classrooms, enjoy a complimentary lunch and meet our faculty and students. 

The day begins at 9:00am and ends at noon.

Bay Area schools are invited to attend our 8th Grade Day held throughout September and October. Eighth grade classes from these schools, along with their teachers and chaperones, spend an hour experiencing student life at Salesian.

Salesian Open House 

Date: Sunday, October 16, 2022

Time: 1:00pm-3:00pm

This is a wonderful opportunity for families to visit the entire campus, speak with Salesian students, faculty, guidance counselors, coaches, and administrators and take a student led tour!

Guests will receive a $25 discount on the admissions application.

Prepare your student for the High School Placement Test with a seminar led by Salesian faculty and designed and tailored for 8th grade students.

All test subjects will be reviewed:

• Verbal
• Quantitative
• Reading
• Mathematics
• Language Skills

The registration fee is $65 and includes lunch and a binder with practice problems, tests and study tips. Space is limited.

6th & 7th Grade Virtual Parent Information Night

Date: Thursday, April 27

Time: 6:30pm - 7:30pm

We invite all prospective families to join our Admissions team and Administrators virtually. This is a great opportunity for parents and guardians to learn more about what Salesian has to offer your student and why the Salesian experience is like no other.

7th Grade Practice for the High School Placement Test

Saturday, May 6, 2023

Time: 8:30am - 12:15pm

Cost: $50.00

We encourage all 7th Graders to practice taking the High School Placement Test (HSPT) at Salesian. The HSPT must be taken in order to apply for admission to the 9th Grade. The practice HSPT will help familiarize students with HSPT content and material. The test will last approximately three hours, and it will assess students' abilities in Verbal Skills, Quantitative Skills, Reading, Math and Language. Scholastic Testing Services will mail test score results directly to each student. After receiving your student's test scores from Scholastic Testing Service, if you would like assistance interpreting your student's performance please contact our Director of Admissions, Christina Karabinis at ckarabinis@salesian.com or 510-234-4433 ext. 1416.

A grab and go lunch will be provided.

Parents and guardians are welcome to attend a socially distanced reception with the Admissions team and Administrators at 8:30 am.
