Shadow Program

I AM Salesian! The Salesian Shadow Program offers 8th grade and transfer students an opportunity to shadow our current high school students to learn more and experience a day in the life of a Salesian student. If your school is not already visiting Salesian College Prep for an 8th Grade School visit, your student can schedule a Shadow Visit. Students will tour our campus, visit multiple classrooms, enjoy a complimentary lunch and meet our faculty and students.

 The day begins at 9 am and ends at 11:30am.

8th Grade Class Visits

Bay Area schools are invited to attend our 8th Grade Day held throughout September and October. Eighth grade classes from these schools, along with their teachers and chaperones, spend an hour experiencing student life at Salesian.

Prepare your student for the High School Placement Test

Our Salesian faculty will help prepare 8th grade students to perform to their full potential on the High School Placement Test (HSPT), includes lunch, take home binder with practice tests and study tips & tricks.

7th Grade Practice for the High School Placement Test

Time: 8:30am - 12:15pm

Cost: $50.00

We encourage all 7th Graders to practice taking the High School Placement Test (HSPT) at Salesian. The HSPT must be taken in order to apply for admission to the 9th Grade. The practice HSPT will help familiarize students with HSPT content and material. The test will last approximately three hours, and it will assess students' abilities in Verbal Skills, Quantitative Skills, Reading, Math and Language. Scholastic Testing Services will mail test score results directly to each student. After receiving your student's test scores from Scholastic Testing Service, if you would like assistance interpreting your student's performance please contact our Director of Admissions, Christina Karabinis at ckarabinis@salesian.com or 510-234-4433 ext. 1416.

A grab and go lunch will be provided.

Parents and guardians are welcome to attend a school tour and reception with the Admissions team and Administrators at 8:30 am.
