Faculty & Staff
Mr. Swanson joined the faculty and staff in 2016 as the Assistant Principal after being the Principal at St. David School in Richmond. Mr. Swanson teaches Conceptual Physics, oversees all academics at Salesian and works closing with the Admissions Team. Mr. Swanson enjoys hiking, Star Wars and visiting at least one new city each summer.
Ms. Trott joined the faculty of Salesian College Preparatory in 2006 after earning an MFA in poetry from Mills College, during which time she also worked as a student-teacher at the College of Alameda. In 2009, her book of poetry, Planned, was published. In 2018, after a summer fellowship with the Bay Area Writing Project, she became a Teaching Consultant, leading workshops for teachers and teenagers on argumentative writing, artist’s books, and creative writing. At Salesian, Ms. Trott serves as the English Department Chair and teaches AP Language and Composition, Sophomore English, and Creative Writing. She has also coordinated the publication of the student literary magazine for over ten years and serves as co-moderator of the school newspaper. Outside of school, she enjoys hiking with her family, reading, and traveling.
