Give. Transform a Life.

For many years, Salesian High School and our Family of Friends shared our belief that the Don Bosco philosophy of reason, religion, and loving kindness enriches the lives of the young people we serve. Together we provide hopes and dreams to many students and have shared with them the values of faith, academic excellence and service.

Additionally the mission and philosophy, require an outreach that keep Salesian accessible for all families. Therefore, Salesian continues to provide tuition assistance to a large number of students every year.

The contributions are used to cover a wide range of expenses from educational instruction and programs.

Thank You for helping us to Provide Hopes & Dreams...

The support Salesian High receives from the contributions made through our Annual Giving Campaign is the cornerstone of the school’s strong academic foundation and financial stability. This campaign aims to “bridge the gap” between the tuition the school charges and the actual cost of providing the quality education that Salesian High students experience.

We value all of our supporters and are grateful for the many ways individuals, businesses, and community organizations offer support to Salesian High School. There are some benefactors that we would like to acknowledge, however, that make contributions that provide the support needed to preserve the SHS Legacy.

We call this small circle of friends, The Salesian High School Legacy Circle, and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the many years of support our community will receive because of a gift you have made.

If you are interested in joining the Salesian Legacy Circle , please speak with your financial, legal, insurance and tax professionals about what type of gift would be most appropriate and beneficial for your life situation.

The list we provide below is only as a reference for what some of your options may be.

Outright Gift of Cash

A substantial cash gift enables us to provide support for the school’s most immediate needs and gives us the flexibility to decide how to use the funds in the most beneficial way. A general purpose gift is always the most common and convenient way to give. However, if you wish to designate the use of your gift, you may do so at the time you make the gift.

Securities

A gift of securities such as stocks, mutual funds, and bonds, can provide attractive benefits in some circumstances. An outright gift of long-term appreciated securities (securities held for more than a year) avoids capital gains taxes and in most cases, the donor obtains a charitable income tax deduction equal to the market value of the securities.

Bequest and Planned Giving

By including Salesian High School in a will, many people make a profound and lasting difference for the lives of the young people we serve. These kinds of gifts often provide substantial tax advantages. The simplest most common planned gift is a simple bequest through your will or living trust. Because it is often family members who are put in a will, Salesian High School considers a bequest gift one of the highest honors a donor can bestow.

You can arrange with your attorney and financial advisor to make a gift from your estate. These professionals can also describe the tax advantages involved in your particular circumstances.

If you are willing to share with us your estate plans benefiting Salesian High, we would be pleased to note your generosity on our website. We are glad to celebrate the generosity of others in this way and to encourage additional giving.

A Gift of Life Insurance

Speak with your insurance professional about how you may be to make a large gift to Salesian High with little or no cost to yourself.

An Endowment Gift

When you make an endowed gift, only a small portion of your gift will be spent, allowing the remaining amount to continue growing. That portion of your gift will supplement Salesian High forever. You can give cash, securities or other assets to an endowment you create. Or, you can contribute to our organization's already established endowment.

Recognize Someone Special

Tribute gifts are a thoughtful way to celebrate a birthday, holiday, graduation or any special occasion. They also serve as a special expression of sympathy by honoring the memory of a friend or relative. Tributes or memorial gifts can honor someone you admire, respect, or want to remember in a meaningful way, such as an alum, a teacher, a coach, a family member or a friend who has made a special impact.

Show you Salesian Pride by making a gift In Honor or In Memory of someone special!

By doing so you ensure that Salesian High will continue to provide a quality high school education and a life-changing experience of great memories, close friendships, and everlasting faith.

Ideas for Tribute Gifts:

  1. Create a Holiday Tradition. - Instead of giving holiday gifts to friends and family, make a gift to Salesian High School in their honor. Or ask them to make a contribution in lieu of a gift to you.
  2. Make a special Birthday Wish. - Ask your friends and family to make a gift to Salesian High to honor your “Birthday Wish” Goal of providing Salesian with $XXX this year in contributions.
  3. Honor a Salesian Graduate. - Acknowledge the accomplishment of a Salesian graduate and the value of the education they received by encouraging your friends and family to make a gift back to Salesian High in celebration of your graduate’s achievement.
  4. Make an Alumni Gift. - Gather the alumni of your graduating class and launch an effort to make a special Alumni Gift Contribution back to Salesian High School honoring your class.

Tribute gifts are a wonderful way to honor someone by contributing to an organization as meaningful to them.  An acknowledgment letter will be sent to the person and you will receive a letter of the donation for your tax purposes.
