Personal Counseling

The many changes that occur during high school can cause challenges that may be resolved if they are explored in a nonjudgmental environment. Two personal counselors, Cheryl Fox and David Franklin, are available to students.

Both Ms. Fox and Mr. Franklin have been counselors at Salesian High School for more than a decade and are available to students who are having personal difficulties: from adjustment challenges, to issues with peers or teachers, to stress with school. They are available to offer support and guidance to students through many of the challenges of adolescence.

Students can request to visit with one of the personal counselors, or they may be referred by faculty, staff or parents. While opportunities for couseling are available to all students, it is completely voluntary. The Personal Counselors ultimate concern is about the well being of the student and when a student seems to need additional help, the counselors may make referrals to parents for services available in the community.
