Christian Service Program

The Christian Service Program is an ongoing opportunity for students to participate in the practical charity of Christ toward others. Services include blood donation drives, mission collections, food/toys/clothing collections, project Santa, and spring carnival.

Christian Service Hours:  As a graduation requirement, each Salesian student must complete 20 hours of Christian service per year with at least 10 hours being performed off campus.  (All 20 hours may be done off campus if the student so chooses).  After completing Christian Service hours, each student must fill out a Christian Service Hour form which contains reflection questions regarding what was done for service.  This form must be returned to the Campus Minister by May 1st.  This service is meant to benefit the student’s local church, neighborhood, other students, the needy and the Salesian family.  A student may not earn Christian Service hours for jobs or tasks for which he/she is paid.  The Campus Minister must approve Christian Service projects.  If a student fails to complete his/her service hours, a penalty of 10 hours will be assessed in the following year.
