Children's Hospital Athletic Training Program is now Partnered with Salesian High School. The mission of Children's Hospital & Research Center at Oakland is to ensure the delivery of high quality pediatric care for all children through primary and specialty networks, a strong education and teaching program, a diverse workforce, nationally recognized research programs and child advocacy efforts.
Mikel Jackson, ATC, BS, is in his second year as Salesian High School’s athletic trainer. Coach Jackson comes to Salesian through a partnership with Children’s Hospital of Oakland. Salesian High School began contracting with Children’s Hospital in 2010 so as to provide athletic training services to our student athletes. Coach Jackson is a graduate of San Jose State University, where he earned a double major in Kinesiology and Athletic Training, while also receiving a minor in African American Studies.
