  • Coach Mellis Named State Coach of the Year

    Coach Bill Mellis was named State Coach of the Year by ESPN Rise CAL-HI Sports with all divisions considered. The team finshed with a 34-2 record this year and their only two losses came to nationally ranked teams in Florida at the City of Palms Tournament considered to be the #1 High School Tournament in the Country. The team went 2-2 in the tournament. Coach Mellis was also named the Divison IV Coach of the Year. The team capped off the season with 70-56 win in the State Final defeating Price, a very talented team from Southern California. Salesian is thankful for all Coach Mellis' hard work preparing the team for each game and bringing out the best in each player.
