Salesian High School, remains true to the educational philosophy of Don Bosco. Don Bosco believed in educating the whole child using the aspects of Home, School, Church and Playground.
Salesian always welcomes back an Alum to visit at anytime along with attending specific events held on the campus.
The Grand Reunion is the first event of each new school year held on campus in the second week of September, from the 45th year reunion all the way down to the 5th year reunion.
Homecoming is a big event where groups of the Salesian family get together for the football game and follow up the game with a family style barbecue, through the efforts of Tom Wright '66 who puts together a team of alumni and friends and donates his time to prepare the meal.
Crab Feed is the next event held on Friday and Saturday night every year on Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday weekend. Each night over 400 of the Salesian family, including many alumni from many years, come and enjoy all-you-can-eat crab and enjoy rolls and tasty desserts donated by Noe-Valley Bakery of San Francisco (Mike Gassen '81).
The Athletic Hall of Fame Dinner is held at the end of January and honors the athletes who were nominated and then selected into the Sports Hall of Fame for the year. Download our Nomination Form to nominate a player, coach or supporter of the athletic programs from our great history and tradition of sports at Salesian. We are lucky to have the support of Oaks Jewelers (Jeff Accornero '78), the Fadelli Family, the Oberto Family and Mechanics Bank, who donate to make sure the event is first class.
In May our Annual Alumni Golf Tournament raises money for tuition assistance. We are lucky to have Alumni and friends who donate sponsorships, play golf or volunteer, and we are very thankful for their help. If any business would like to sponsor or play in the tournament, know that every dollar we make goes to help a student at Salesian.
