Student Government – ASB

ASSOCIATED STUDENTS OF SALESIAN HIGH SCHOOL

The Associated Student Body (ASB), of Salesian High School is an organization of all the students of the school in good standing. Its purpose is to promote the general welfare of the student body. Members of the association may vote for student officers and try out for interscholastic and intramural activities. They may also make suggestions to the Student Council through their elected representatives.

 
STUDENT COUNCIL

The Student Council consists of members of the ASB who have a minimum of 2.5 scholastic average, meet the required recommendations, and have been elected to specific offices by their peers.  The ASB Constitution contains norms and procedures that govern the election of officers and detail the manner in which meetings are conducted and projects are undertaken.
        
The following are elected officers of the Student Council: president, vice-president, secretary, treasurer, spirit commissioner, and class officers who are ex officio members of the Student Council.  Elections are held each April/May for the following year, with the exception of the ninth grade class officers who are elected in September.
